Every one in world is asking, Is Orkut gonna be deleted? Well, there is no Yes or No to this answer. As there is something between Yes and No and that is the most interesting part.

There is a rumor around that Orkut.com is going to be deleted. Orkut Buyukkokten‘s (the real developer and Ex-owner of Orkut) scrapbook is full of scraps which say please do not delete orkut. And you might also see abuses in many languages telling him not to delete orkut. LOL

What basically what I am going to tell you is that Yes somethings is going in Google that might force Google to delete Orkut. Since, Orkut failed against Facebook very badly. Since then the internet giant Google was planning to Make a Social Network which overcomes Facebook. But Google’s analytics  told them that Facebook would eventually stop growing. Which returned false and Facebook grew more and more till it became an icon Social Network.

After that Google started working on a so-called project "Google Me". And maybe the are planning to fix a space for Mighty Orkut in it somewhere. And it is going to a Social Network that is going to overcome all Social Networks because that is what it is planned to be.

Mr. Kevin Rose, the founder of Digg, tweeted, "Ok, umm, huge rumor: Google to launch Facebook competitor very soon ‘Google Me,’ very credible source" on June 28.

So, Orkut users do not lose heart may be we have some thing more promising coming .. something that might be called "Google Me” !
